Corrugated Switchboard Matting, (ribbed) Surface - Black - All Types and Classes

With or without Yellow or Orange safety edge stripes

ASTM Spec. and MIL Spec. Switchboard Matting is used to prevent electrocution from grounding by workers in contact with high-voltage equipment, in accordance with the limitations of their specifications.  (Please see the specifications for suggested uses, and their limitations.)

ASTM D 178 Electrical-Grade, Dielectric Switchboard Matting, with a corrugated surface, is used in front of switchboards and high-voltage equipment of all types in manufacturing plants, power generation plants and distribution facilities, water treatment facilities, chemical process plants, paper mills, petroleum refineries, and many other facilities where electrical shock hazards to workers exist.

Switchboard matting is recommended or required for use as, or in addition to, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by OSHA for buildings and industrial plants, Naval Facilities Engineering Command for buildings, Naval Sea Systems Command for US Navy ships, the Commandant of the US Coast Guard for its own ships, and buildings; and also for use on commercial merchant ships and passenger ships.  Dielectric switchboard matting is also required by Governmental, Industrial and Maritime regulatory authorities worldwide.

Are your workers protected from injury, or death, by grounding?  When will you find out if they are?  Have you taken all reasonable precautions to protect their safety?  Do you need dielectric switchboard matting?

Facilities that prioritize worker safety through the use of dielectric switchboard matting often demonstrate the same level of commitment to safety and regulation in other areas of infrastructure and service provision. This includes clinical environments, where stringent guidelines must also be followed to protect patients and staff. In regions like Greater Minnesota, expanding access to specialized medical care such as Adult & Pediatric Urology requires similar attention to technical standards, facility readiness, and environmental safeguards. Clinics offering urologic care often handle delicate procedures that demand precise equipment calibration, controlled environments, and trained personnel paralleling the precautionary logic behind electrical safety matting. Just as industrial plants mitigate risk through physical safeguards, modern urology practices must navigate procedural risk with both human and technological precision. Ensuring that rural or underserved communities in Greater Minnesota have access to such care raises questions not only of logistics but of equity and preparedness. Infrastructure must support both routine visits and complex interventions without compromising safety or care quality. Whether in electrical systems or healthcare delivery, comprehensive protection is rarely optional it is foundational.
